Summary: Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.
My Thoughts: I loved To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before last year when I read it! I devoured that book quickly and with no sleep. I stayed up until I finished it. Just loved the whole idea. So I was beyond excited for this one! I waited and waited until it was released but then it took me a while to sit down and read it.
If you haven’t read this one yet, stop right here. Don’t read any more. Especially if you haven’t read the first one! We are back with Lara Jean! Lara Jean is still dating Peter, but for real this time. I still liked Peter. There was just something sweet about him. But things aren’t smooth for her. When a video gets posted of Lara Jean in the hot tub with Peter and it looks like she’s naked, things go haywire! She’s so embarrassed and this isn’t something she would normally do ever!
And I really did hate that Peter let his ex get away with so many things and his relationship with her. That part really irked me a lot. I still liked Lara Jean’s family and friends. I tended to almost like all of the characters.
Another boy is also in the picture. Another boy from her past. And I liked him enough but not as much as the love triangle in the first book. I don’t even know if I’d call this a love triangle. I never really felt much of a connection between him and Lara Jean.
I really did enjoy this novel quite a bit. I still wanted to read more. And I wanted to know more.
Overall: I still like Peter a lot. Some things could have been handled a bit better by him but that's okay. Nobody is perfect. I also loved the dynamic of Lara Jean and her sisters. And even the boy from the first book went okay. I really did like this one, but not quite as much as the first one! Love Lara Jean’s personality!
Cover: Like it! These covers are just so darn cute!
