Summary: When Quinn Sullivan meets the recipient of her boyfriend’s donated heart, the two form an unexpected connection.
After Quinn loses her boyfriend, Trent, in an accident their junior year, she reaches out to the recipients of his donated organs in hopes of picking up the pieces of her now-unrecognizable life. She hears back from some of them, but the person who received Trent’s heart has remained silent. The essence of a person, she has always believed, is in the heart. If she finds Trent’s, then maybe she can have peace once and for all.
Risking everything in order to finally lay her memories to rest, Quinn goes outside the system to track down nineteen-year-old Colton Thomas—a guy whose life has been forever changed by this priceless gift. But what starts as an accidental run-in quickly develops into more, sparking an undeniable attraction. She doesn't want to give in to it—especially since he has no idea how they're connected—but their time together has made Quinn feel alive again. No matter how hard she’s falling for Colton, each beat of his heart reminds her of all she’s lost…and all that remains at stake.
My Thoughts: Man, oh Man I loved this one! Things We Know By Heart was a wonderful novel! I raced right through it! I needed to know what happened next!
We are introduced to Quinn who lost her boyfriend about a year ago. Over this time, while mourning, she has reached out to the people who got his organs. Feeling like he made a difference has helped her cope. It was a way to know it wasn't all for nothing.
There is one last person who hadn’t responded to her letters. His name is Colton and he was very sick until he got the heart. In Quinn’s eyes, the heart is the key to the soul, its important.
Quinn sets out to see Colton. She doesn’t intend to meet him or even talk to him but things don’t go as planned. She runs into him and things go crazy from there. The more time Quinn spends with him the more she realizes how wonderful he is.
I don’t want to say much about this one. I loved it so much. I loved how everything went down, and I loved the plot and the characters. I loved both Quinn and Colton and them together was just amazing. It was such a heartfelt novel but also very very good and deep.
Things We Know By Heart will probably make my favorites of the year, yes it was that great!
Overall: Loved this one! I can’t believe how fast I flew through it! It was such a good one! Oh Colton, I need a boy like you!
Cover: Love it! It just fits perfectly. If I saw this in a bookstore, I’d pick it up. And once I read the summary, it would be going home with me!
