Summary: Every touch has its price
Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could.
But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay…
My Thoughts: I still love this series! And as I finished Stone Cold Touch I was left wide eyed and stunned. I wanted the next book now!!! And its a while until it even comes out! Booo!!!
Do not read this review if you haven’t read book 1! We are back with Layla and her so called family, and of course her friends. She still has feelings for Zayne but her feelings for Roth are even more deep now. He sacrificed himself for her and now Layla feels the guilt. She also misses him.
Things start happening at Laylas high school and people start acting weird than die. And there is a Lilith to blame! But nobody knows her/what it really is!
Layla and her band of misfits have to start digging and find out what is going on!
But it doesn’t help that everyone in her so called family is suspicious of her and don’t really trust her. I couldn’t believe some of the stuff that was happening with that. I felt so bad for her and I just wanted to help her out!
I still love Bambi!! I think that is so cool, and I love how Layla describes her.
I’m still torn between both Roth and Zayne. I love them both to pieces. They have their ups and downs but they both make Layla whole as a person. Each one compliments her personality in different ways. And I want to root for both!!! She has major chemistry with them both. Zayne is a sweetheart but Roth is also so sarcastic and funny you have to love him. Character development is a big issue for me and this series does it so well!
This book had it all! Love interest, a great plot, and such awesome characters. And the ending surprised me so much and I just had to gasp. I guess I just didn’t see that coming at all!
I loved Stone Cold Touch!
Overall: You must read this series if you haven’t yet! It is amazing and I love it!! Stone Cold Touch has me all giddy and excited to read more!!
Cover: Love it! I liked the first cover but I think I like this one more. I love the blueness to it, and I love how her hands are on his chest. Very cute!
What I’d Give It:
