Summary: There is need. And then there is Fate...
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.
My Thoughts: Pure was another amazing book in the Covenant series! I'm not going to go on and on about this one, I just want you to read it and love it as much as I did.
We are back with Alex and her friends who keep us laughing, crying, and at times leave us frustrated. We see more of Caleb who is adorable as Alex's best friend and of course Aiden, the boy she's in love with. And of course there is Seth. Honestly, I really like Seth. And he's around a lot more in this fantastic novel.
Alex is still the same smart-ass, rule breaking, and impossible to hate girl. She is such a good character and at times I find myself looking up to her.
In Pure, Alex is torn between doing what is right and doing what her heart wants to do. She knows she shouldn't have feelings for Aiden but she can't hide those feelings either. She knows she needs to stay away from Seth because he's dangerous in his own way, but his friendship starts to mean a lot to her, especially now.
At times I was happy, at times I was sad, at times I was really sad and a few tears slipped down my cheeks. A diamon is out there and is killing people (again) and Alex is doing her training and she wants to find a solution to all of her problems.
Pure was an intense novel. I'm just going to leave it at that. The relationships were deeper, the emotions were insane, the heartbreak was crazy, and I just adored this book as much as Half Blood, probably even more.
Overall: Loved it! At times I did cry because of what happened but overall, I loved it and can't wait to read the next book!
Cover: Like it! Think I like the blue cover much more than the purple!
What I'd Give It:

I loved this one as well. It was the first book that I had read in 2012 that really blew me away and had me reading at all hours that I could between everything I have going on.
I'm so glad to see you loved this one as well, can't wait for the third book.
Thanks for the great review
