Summary: All teenagers have problems, but few of them can match those of Aislinn, who has the power to see faeries. Quite understandably, she wishes that she could share her friends' obliviousness and tries hard to avoid these invisible intruders. But one faery in particular refuses to leave her alone. Keenan the Summer King is convinced beyond all reasoning that Aislinn is the queen he has been seeking for nine centuries. What's a 21st-century girl to do when she's stalked by a suitor nobody else can see? A debut fantasy romance for the ages; superlative summer read.
My Thoughts: I really loved Wicked Lovely. Before I started this series, I came across quite a few bad reviews so I had my suspicions as I started the book. I love fairies. I hadn't read many faerie books in the past until I started Wings by Aprilyne Pike which also got some negative reviews. I loved that series! Than I read the Iron King by Julie Kagawa, and loved that series too! So, I was all for starting Wicked Lovely, to see if I enjoyed it.
First off, I love the world building. I liked learning about Ani and why she is the way she is. She can see faeries but must not acknowledge she can see them. She must keep it her secret.
We than meet her friend aka crush Seth. Seth was HOT. I loved all the mention of his piercings. Usually I'm not into guys with piercings but the way the author described his physical aspects wowed me.
Than Keenan. It took me a while to like Kennan. He seemed kind of conceited but think about it, how can he not be? He's waited a long time for his queen, and I'm sure by this point he's getting kind of impatient and wants to get it on with already!
Basically, long story short, Keenan meets Ani, and feels drawn to her. He thinks she is the one, the queen he's been looking for all along. He must get her to like him. To choose him. Of course, Ani knows better and she wants nothing to do with him. Plus his mother wants to stay in control so she does everything in her power to try to keep them apart.
Want to know what happens? Read the book.

What I'd Give It:

I'm halfway through this series and *still* don't like Keenan! Seth all the way. And I love Niall as a character--he really gets to shine in the second book of the series.
Smiles!

Oh I loved this book!!! I agree Seth sounds soo hot!! Piercings are usually so unattractive but he sounds so drool worthy!!
I loved this series, so I'm thrilled someone else is enjoying it, too! Each book just gets better and better!
