Summary: From acclaimed author Blake Nelson, the story of girl meets boy...in rehab.
Madeline is sent away to Spring Meadows to help with a drinking and rage problem she has. It's a pretty intense place, but there is the weekly movie night in town--where Madeline meets Stewart, who's at another rehab place nearby. They fall for each other during a really crazy time in their lives. Madeline gets out and tries to get back on her feet, waiting for Stewart to join her. When he does, though, it's not the ideal recovery world Madeline dreamed of. Both of them still have serious problems. And Stewart's are only getting worse....
Maddie gets out and waits for Stewart to get out. He moves fairly close to her and they see eachother every once in a while. The book is split up into parts so you can get to see what both Maddie and Stewart go through in the upcoming year. A lot of events happen throughout the year. I'll stop there. If you want to know more or what happens, read it.
Overall: I enjoyed reading Recovery Road but I didn't love it. I felt like it was kind of dragged out a bit. I enjoyed the first part of the book more than the last. I liked Stewart at the beginning but by the end I wasn't too fond of him.
Cover: The cover is neat. Its really creative, especially all the pills on the front!

I've been wanting to read this, so I'm glad you liked it.
Sorry to hear this one didn't blow you away. I've recently read Clean by Amy Reed about kids in rehab and absolutely loved it, so I'm eagerly looking for more books with similar premises to see how differently they handle the character's issues.
Thanks for the honest review!
Smiles!

This sounds interesting. I'm glad you liked it, though, even if it wasn't amazing.
I think I'm going to check out this book on Goodreads and maybe add it to my tbr list. =) Thanks for your honest review.
