Summary: Kaylee has one addiction: her very hot, very popular boyfriend, Nash. A banshee like Kaylee, Nash understands her like no one else. Nothing can come between them.
Until something does.
Demon breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked.
And so is someone else…
My Thoughts: Alright I'm going to say it again, this series rocks! It rocks enough to rock my socks off. HAHA! See, how excited I am over this series. I just adore it. With each book, it just keeps getting better and better. More intense, more fulfilling.
We are back with Kaylee and her group of misfits; uh um I mean friends. This time they have to worry about humans (aka their classmates) huffing demon's breathe. Yes, you heard that right, it is supplied in a balloon and they are taking breathes off it and getting high. It's making them act weird, after a while it either drives them insane or kills them. These story-lines are pretty genius if you ask me. They are very unique.
We also get a new character in this one. Alec. He's in the Netherworld as Avari's slave (basically). I actually liked him a lot. He stood out very well and kind of made you like him from the get go.
My Soul To Keep isn't all flowers and sparkles, it's gritty. People die, people do things you would never thought they were capable in a million years of doing, characters were disappointing me, I felt sad, frustrated, I wanted to chuck a few people more than once.
So far, My Soul To Keep has had the most twists out of the all books I've read so far in this series, it kept me on the end of my seat! Now I'm off to start the next one and keep going with the series.
Overall: Like I said above, this series is getting even more wonderful. I just adore it. I still love Nash but I'm also falling a bit more for Tod.
Cover: Love Love Love. These covers all have such gorgeous covers! And the purple, oh so pretty!
