Summary: Abby accepted that she can’t measure up to her beautiful, magnetic sister Tess a long time ago, and knows exactly what she is: Second best. Invisible.
Until the accident.
Now Tess is in a coma, and Abby’s life is on hold. It may have been hard living with Tess, but it's nothing compared to living without her.
She's got a plan to bring Tess back though, involving the gorgeous and mysterious Eli, but then Abby learns something about Tess, something that was always there, but that she’d never seen.
Abby is about to find out that truth isn't always what you think it is, and that life holds more than she ever thought it could..
My Thoughts: We are introduced to Abby who just isn't as perfect as her older sister Tess. Abby spends her days going to school, coming home from school, and going straight to the hospital to spend the evening with her sister. Tess is in a coma and has been for a while now. The doctors tell her family there is a slim chance she will wake up and if she does, she'll have brain damage. Abby can only sit and hope that Tess wakes up and is ok. Abby is normal and shy, but in her eyes Tess is the beautiful, smart, and perfect one. Whats a little sister without the big sister who shines so brightly?
Abby enlists the help of Eli to help wake Tess up. She believes that everytime he talks, Tess responds to him through eye movements so she gets Eli to come to the room almost everyday to visit Tess. Eli is an awesome boy. He was sweet and had his own problems he had to deal with.
I loved the relationships throughout the books. They were all magically crafted and beautiful. Family relationships, romantic relationships, and friendships. As with Scott's previous work I also adored Between Here And Forever. I won't say much else because this is a book you need to read yourself and not read the whole plot in my review. Please please go out and buy this book as soon as you possibly can and experience Abby's journey with trying to help her sister and experiencing emotions she's never felt before!
Overall: I really enjoyed it! I didn't love it quite as much as Scott's other books but I did still enjoy reading it. It is definitely different from her others, but what do you expect from the author of Living Dead Girl? Awesome story!
Cover: Love the cover! Love how she is laying down! Love that big flower!
