Summary: Avery Hood is reeling from the loss of her parents--and the fact that she can't remember what happened to them even though she was there.
She's struggling to adjust to life without them, and to living with her grandmother, when she meets Ben, who isn't like any guy she's ever met before.
It turns out there's a reason why, and Ben's secret may hold the key to Avery finding out what happened to her parents...
But what if that secret changes everything she knows about--and feels for--Ben?
My Thoughts: Where To Start, Where To Start. Low Red Moon is one of those books you know you'll remember. We meet Avery who just suffered such a tragedy; she lost both of her parents at the same moment. They were murdered! She goes to live with her grandmother, and meets a boy. Not just any boy, a special boy with silver eyes! This book is so hard to go into detail about without giving away spoilers, the whole plot, or all the good parts of the book.
I liked the character of Avery, she was strong willed and didn't always do what everyone else wanted. Everyone wanted her to stay out of the woods yet she was her own person and went into the woods anyways. I liked Ben, he was special.
The best part was who turned out to be the one who murdered Avery's parents. I just didn't see that one coming. I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked all the characters and I liked Ben's story as well.
Fans of Shiver will enjoy this one.
Overall: I really liked it a lot. Its a good love story/mystery book.
Cover: The cover is cool!
