I have a special presentation for you! Its an interview with Jennifer Laurens! Come on, you've heard of her right? I know you have! She has a few stand alone books plus the Heavenly books! And I've reviewed some of her books here at Princess Bookie!
Me: As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
Jennifer: A mom. As an only child, I had visions of grandeur of big, close, happy families who live happily ever after. LOL. I started out wanting 12. Once I had two, that number dropped considerably. We've had our issues, but our family is big, close and happy because we work hard and respect each other.
Me: What was the best book you read in 2010? And why?
Jennifer: Oh dear. The best book is a book I'm reading in my critique group by a fellow author. It's a fabulous. I'm surrounded by great talent.
Me: What do you like to do besides write? Watch Movies? Read Books? Spend time with family?
Me: What do you like to do besides write? Watch Movies? Read Books? Spend time with family?
Jennifer: Family. Shopping. Travel. Getting to know readers rates up there with family. I do my best to chat with everyone who wants to chat with me. I love hearing about them -- all around the world.
Me: What is your favorite tv show at the moment; if you watch tv?
Me: What is your favorite tv show at the moment; if you watch tv?
Jennifer: Easy: Vampire Diaries.
Me: Can you tell me what your working on right now?
Me: Can you tell me what your working on right now?
Jennifer: I can't. Except that it's a YA urban fantasy/paranormal of sorts.
Me: I've seen your new book around, Overprotected. Where did you get the idea for the book? Did you enjoy writing it? Most difficult setback?
Me: I've seen your new book around, Overprotected. Where did you get the idea for the book? Did you enjoy writing it? Most difficult setback?
Jennifer: OMG I love this story. ( yes, we authors CAN love our stories ) It's the first idea that ever popped into my head and it's been written about three thousand times, ten thousand different ways! JK. Part of that statement is true. It's an edgy, coming-of-age story about a girl fighting for her independence. I LOVED writing it. Now, it's in the final stages before it goes off to the book designer. Most difficult setback in regards to this book: clearing my head of the previous versions to start afresh with this one.
