Something About You
By Julie James
Summary: Staying overnight in a luxury hotel, Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde overhears a high-profile murder involving a U.S. Senator. Special Agent Jack Pallas is assigned to the investigation-the same Jack Pallas who still blames her for nearly ruining his career three years ago. Now the pair will have to put their rocky past behind them, focus on the case at hand-and smother the flame of their sizzling-hot sexual tension.
My Thoughts: We are introduced to Cameron Lynde who is an assistant US attorney. Even though she is an assistant attorney she is a sweet and caring person. When we think of people of attorneys we always think of tough hard women. Yes, Cameron is tough but she actually cares about people. Yes, she could outsmart you but she is a kind person. She gets herself stuck in a situation where she hears a murder take place. All she wanted to do was relax in a hotel room for one night. Of course that just can't happen for her. She than gets paired up with Jack Pallas. He has to watch over her while they try to catch the killer. Jack is your typical hero. He is gorgeous and I'd let him guard me anytime. Jack and Cameron have a history together, they worked on case 3 years ago and things didn't go so well. We also get introduced to Jack's partner and Cameron's friends which add a nice touch to the book. Is Cameron in trouble? Does Jack protect her? What happens between them? Does the fire ignite once again or do they just figure out who is the killer and move on with their lives separate from one another? Read this book now!
I absolutely love Julie James. I've read her previous books, Just The Sexist Man Alive and Practice Makes Perfect and I've given all 3 books 5 stars. I'll be honest, I don't really read many books focused on crimes, FBI agents, or lawyers. I watch enough of that on television so reading these kind of books just doesn't do it for me however Julie's books are brilliant. They also include a lot of romance and they are just awesome. Just The Sexist Man Alive was probably my favorite book but its hard to choose a favorite, because they are all wonderful. Julie James is a must buy for me. As soon as the book hits the shelve, I buy it and devour it in a few days.
Overall: Loved It! Loved Cameron and Jack. Loved the case. Loved The Whole Story and Characters.
Cover: The cover is gorgeous. I love the guys tux and I love her dress. Isn't it beautiful? All James covers are neat, they all cut off on half the face so we never really know what they look like but the clothes and colors are always neat.

I didn't like "Something About You" as much as "Practice Makes Perfect" or "The sexiest man alive"...but you are right Julie James rules when it comes to contemporary romance
