Summary: Belle’s powers are going haywire, her fiancé Rome has no memory of her — and the guy who stole those memories is now determined to win her heart. What’s a superheroine to do? She’s setting the world on fire—literally. Belle Jamison is finally starting to feel like a normal girl again. Her job as a paranormal investigator is going well, she’s learned to control her supernatural abilities (mostly), and she’s just gotten engaged to Rome Masters, the ultra-sexy operative who once tried to neutralize her! But planning a wedding is never easy, especially when the bride keeps accidentally torching her gown, the groom returns from a dangerous mission with selective memory loss and the man responsible now wants Belle for his own. With Rome’s ex determined to win him back and a new band of supervillains on the horizon, it will take all Belle’s powers—plus a little help from her trusty empath sidekick—to save the day, salvage the wedding and prove that true love really does conquer all.
My Thoughts: Come on, we all know usually sequels are not as good as the first book. They just aren't. This was an exception! I really loved Playing with Fire but Twice As Hot was just that! Twice as hot and good and spectacular. We are reacquainted with Belle and Rome and all the side characters. Rome and Belle have been working together again and Rome loses his memory. He does not remember her at all though he does remember his ex wife. He wakes up thinking he is to win her back and wants nothing to do with Belle. Not only that, but there are some new characters introduced and Belle has a new secret admirer. He is the guy who stole Rome's memories. So this guy has ALL the memories of Bell and Rome together and he believes he is in love with her and Belle is his soul-mate. I don't want to give away the whole plot but this book is so good. I was up late finishing it one night because I just couldn't get enough. Even though Rome does not remember Belle, there is still major hot chemistry between them.
Overall: Loved the storyline and I adored Rome even without his memories of Belle. You just can't help but feel the sparks between them!
Cover: Love the cover. Rome looks hot! About time we get a glimpse into what that sexy man looks like!
