Summary: Teenage Bailey Morgan and her three best friends impulsively buy swirly shaped temporary tattoos to complement their outfits for the upcoming school dance. Suddenly, Bailey hears voices that say, "She comes. To fight, to live, she comes." Soon the girls discover that the tattoos have given them supernatural gifts: Bailey can start fires with her thoughts, Annabelle can read minds, Delia has the power to transmogrify objects, and Zo has premonitions. Bailey's dreams reveal that the voices in her head are from two ancient fairy warriors who are variations of the mythological Fates who control the thread of life of mortals and immortals. Adea and her sister Alecca both fell in love with Valgius, and when he rejected her for Adea, Alecca vowed to destroy the couple. She then began to gain power from young humans by giving them a vision of their secret desires, wrapping a web around them, and then pulling the life from their bodies. Zo's premonitions show that Alecca is planning to kill many students at the dance. Bailey discovers that she's one of a long line of humans who have been chosen to maintain the balance between both worlds.
My Thoughts: This book was a fun quick read. We start off by getting to know all the girls. I will admit I had a hard time following at first. Mainly because the girls seemed so much alike I had trouble keeping them straight. We don't get too much detail surrounding each girl so I had to remember who was who. Once the story unfolded though, it came together. The girls became individuals. They go and end up buying tattoos that are supposed to be "temporary" right before a big dance they are looking forward too. There is a guy involved of course but he wasn't in the story as much as I would have liked. Each girl gets a special gift from the tattoos. Without giving much more away, we learn the reason behind it and why they are so "special." I can't expand too much more without giving away the whole plot of the book. This story reminded me a lot of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The dialogue. I think it would appeal more to teenage girls than older women. I like the whole premise of it, if only I could be special by putting on a temporary tattoo!!! Its a fun quick read. This is a new to me author, but I just found out she has another book coming out next year called, Raised By Wolves. Sounds interesting!
Overall: Quick read, the story unfolds fast and try to keep the girls straight from the beginning! And which power they possess.
Cover: The cover is eye catching but I think the cover of Fate is more appealing. Not a whole lot going on in this one, just a girl's back and where her tattoo is.

I really loved this book (and all over Jennifer Lynn Barnes books. She so fun.
Cool review. I hadn't heard of this one.
This one looks interesting. I've always wanted a tattoo, but haven't gone past the temporary stage. I don't have the willpower to let someone poke holes in me, lol.
This sounds like a fun read. Supernatural powers? I could do with some of those. Great review =)
Could be a good read!
