Zombie Queen Of Newberry High by Amanda Ashby
Summary: Quiet, unpopular,non-cheerleading Mia is blissfully happy. She is dating super hot football god Rob, and he actually likes her and asked her to prom! Enter Samantha--cheerleading goddess and miss popularity--who starts making a move for Rob. With prom in a few days, Mia needs to act fast. So she turns to her best friend, Candice, and decides to do a love spell on Rob. Unfortunately, she ends up inflicting a zombie virus onto her whole class, making herself their leader! At first she is flattered that everyone is treating her like a queen. But then zombie hunter hottie Chase explains they are actually fattening her up, because in a few days, Mia will be the first course in their new diet. She's sure she and Chase can figure something out, but she suggests that no one wear white to prom, because things could get very messy.
My Thoughts: We meet Mia who likes Rob and wants him to like her back so she tries to put a love spell on him, instead putting a spell on everyone... to become zombies. She really really wants to go to prom with him but of course she starts falling for someone else. The best way to describe this book was fluff. I use that term when its a book to read that is quick and doesn't require too much thought and when you need to sit down for a few hours and finish the book. It shouldn't take you too long to read unless you only read 10 minutes a day or so. Its around 200 pages. It doesn't go into too much detail and it pretty much flies by. Other than the school, there isn't hardly anywhere else the story takes place.
Overall: This book is good for a night your home alone and just want to do some light reading. It isn't the best book I've read all year but it sure isn't the worst either. I've heard from a few people they did not enjoy this book but I actually liked it. So should you read it? Sure!
Cover: I actually do like the cover. I think its done well since she wants to go to prom, etc. My boyfriend has been asking me more about the books I read lately. He asked me why proms always involve zombies? LOL

Thanks again for sending this one over Cindy! It just arrived today, and I can't wait to read it (as soon as I get some of those review books out of the way)
