Summary: 16-year-old Molly Dix loves her ordinary life in suburban Indiana, so when her single mother passes away, she is shocked to discover that her biological father is Brick Berlin, world famous movie star and red carpet regular.
Equally intrigued and terrified by her Hollywood lineage, Molly moves to Southern California and plunges head-first into the deep end of Beverly Hills celebrity life. Just as Molly thinks her new life and family couldn't get any stranger, she meets Brooke Berlin, her gorgeous and spoiled half-sister whom welcomes Molly to la-la land with a healthy dose of passive-aggressive "sisterly love."
Set against the backdrop of a sparkling and fashion-filled Los Angeles, this deliciously dysfunctional family soap opera will satisfy every reader looking for their next lifestyles-of-the-rich-and-famous beach read.

My Thoughts: This was another one of those books I thought I would enjoy. It sounded snarky, entertaining, and could be a fun beach read. And it was...kinda.. Spoiled is one of those books you know are going to be all about making you laugh while learning some life lesson on a deeper level.

We are introduced to Molly and Brooke. Brooke is Brick's daughter (he's famous) and she's gotten everything she ever wanted (Spoiled) and Molly comes from a town in Indiana where nothing ever happens and everybody knows everybody.

Molly's mother passes away so Molly heads to Los Angeles to live with her long lost father Brick and Brooke. Molly thinks it might be interesting to have a sister while Brooke thinks its going to be a nightmare and she doesn't want to share her father.

We basically see how the transition progresses and how Molly and Brooke deal with one another.

The first 150 pages of this had trouble keeping my interest. I put it down more times than one can imagine, just to pick it up again and try to finish it.

Honestly, this is one of those books that is fluff, a light read when you aren't in the mood for epic romances or paranormal novels such as vampires, fairies, oh my.

Spoiled was interesting enough but not one of my favorites of the year. Because of this, I don't have all that much to say about it. It was just ok in my opinion. Will I read another novel by these authors? Sure, why not!

Overall: Spoiled was entertaining but I didn't really care for Molly or Brooke or any of the other characters. None of them seemed very "real" to me.

Cover: Love it! I love how each letter is spelled out with some type of makeup! Awesome cover.

What I'd Give It:

Bummer to hear the characters aren't more engaging. This sounds like a character-driven novel and if the characters aren't likable, then I imagine the whole thing would fall flat for me.

Thanks for the honest review!

Smiles!
